This is a free unofficial fan project and a love letter to the eternal masterpiece, Hollow Knight. All of this release window drama meant nothing in the end. Hollow Knight is a property by Team Cherry. You never know what will happen that sets your game back from a few weeks to several months. I don't understand why Team Cherry (or really any game developers) think it's a good idea to plan a release while the game is still in development. Above you can watch the debut Hollow Knight: Silksong reveal trailer, which Team Cherry used to announce the game to the world for the very first time all the way back in February 2019. They were given the green light by TC to put Silksong in the release window. It created so much division in the community and in the end, all of it meant nothing because now we are all back in limbo, which I honestly think is a good thing because now expectations will go back down and people will leave Silksong alone. For 11 months everyone waited for a supposed impending release date that never came, which is even worse because it wasnt garaunteed a release date would be announced at all. But having a one year long release window created a lot of lingering hope. As the lethal hunter Hornet, explore an ancient kingdom of insects haunted by silk and song.

I understand that games (especially recently) aren't garaunteed to release at their planned dates, but at least they had a set date to release. My problem is that the release window existed in the first place. r/demonssouls /r/darksouls /r/darksouls2 /r/darksouls3 /r/bloodborne /r/saltandsanctuary /r/castlevania /r/metroid But we still expect it at some point in 2023.
